About Me

Roger Monarch

Roger Monarch Jr. never really planned on being an author. He’s more of a lifelong note‑taker — the guy with scribbles in spirals, half‑filled journals, and beat‑up notebooks that look like they survived a minor house fire. If something struck him as funny, insane, irritating, or just too true to forget, it went in the notebook. Not because he was “writing.” Because he needed somewhere to put the chaos.
After years of stacking pages, he went back through the mess and pulled out the sharpest, most honest pieces. Those notes turned into a book‑length snapshot of how much the world has changed — and how much of that “change” has turned into noise, outrage, and performative culture. That raw manuscript became This Book Will Offend. People told him not to publish it, warned him it would get him “cancelled,” so naturally he wrote it anyway… and then didn’t release it. (Even he has limits.)
Wanting to share the stories without detonating his entire social circle, he took a different angle — what he calls the PG‑13 cut. Same voice. Same truth. Same material. Just diluted enough that people could read it without needing a helmet. That version became Common Sense on Life Support.
And the stories didn’t stop. The leftovers — the ones still too wild, too honest, or too likely to make someone clutch their pearls — are fueling the next project: Gen X: UNSUPERVISED.
Roger doesn’t think of himself as a traditional writer. What he does is collect real life as it happens, then years later connect the dots, turn memory into narrative, and say out loud the things most people only think. His work isn’t about being an author. It’s about paying attention — and telling the truth with a little grit, a little humor, and absolutely no safety rails.
